Canoe Trail
Paddle the lake around in a canoe!
Due to a new improvement, the lake can be traversed via a 12 kilometres long canoe trail starting from the Boat House. The trip may serve as an excellent family program, a school trip or as a team-building exercise.
István Fekete Visitor Centre
A permanent exhibition show-casing the wildlife of Lake Deseda!
The Visitor Centre can be found on the eastern side of the lake and accommodates an interactive exhibition show-casing the wildlife of Lake Deseda.
The Adventure Wood Theme Park
Learn by visiting the Arboretum and test your senses in the Theme Park!
The arboretum is home to 73 deciduous and 38 evergreen species. The forest situated to the east and west of the lake offers a real adventure. You may look down on the northern section of the lake from a tree canopy trail.
Fishing Paradise
Be the one who catches a record breaking fish next!
Lake Deseda is famous for its great angling and long coasts which provide places for many anglers. Both predatory and non-predatory fish species live in the lake which often features in the news due to the number of record breaking fish.

Recreational sport activity and official competitions
The lovers of canoeing and kayaking, running, jogging, Nordic walking, biking, wakeboard, and fishing may all find their home around the lake. Deseda hosts a number of national and international sports events as well.
Deseda Beach
Take a dip in the lake, then taste the Hungarian Langos!
Those who want a classic waterfront recreation, may use the designated beach area on the western, Toponár side, not far from the dam. Newly built dressing rooms, sanitary facilities and snack bars are available.

Accessibility
By bicycle
The cycle path network of Kaposvár is connected with Lake Deseda by the bike path starting from the Ice Rink, while the territory of the lake located south from the Road N 67 can be cycled around.
By car
Lake Deseda is accessible from several directions by road, visitors reaching the shore from all the directions have access to smaller or larger parking lots.
By public transport
Visitors arriving by local or long-distance bus may reach the western side from the “Kaposfüred center” bus stop, the eastern side from the “Toponár post office” bus stop, and the northern coast-lines from the interurban “Deseda Forest Park”.
