The lovers of canoeing and kayaking, running, jogging, Nordic walking, biking, wakeboard, and fishing may all find their home around the lake. Deseda hosts a number of national and international sports events as well.

You can safely approach the lake by bicycle via the hilly bike path starting from the ice rink. The route is used by running and Nordic walking enthusiasts as well. The area of the lake located south of the Road N67 can be accessed by bike around, except for a short gravel section in the forest and two wooden bridges which go along a paved road. There are several rest stops and shelters along the route.

On the west side at the vine-yards of Kaposfüred a watchtower rises above the road, offering a superb panoramic view of the lake. Next to the watchtower, there’s a playground for children and families. On the beach, another playground may entertain children, while those longing for sports can play on the beach volleyball court. Those who wish to try out extreme water sports can use the wakeboarding course which starts on the beach near the dam. In cold winters, ice encases the northern shallower territory of the lake which attracts ice-skaters.
